How-to
Add and manage prompts
Add your own prompts, generate prompt suggestions, approve them, edit prompt text, and archive or delete prompts.
You manage prompts on the Prompts tab of the Prompts section. Prompts are only asked while their status is Active. You can type your own prompts in the app, or generate suggestions and approve the ones you want.
Add your own prompts
Section titled “Add your own prompts”- Open Prompts → Prompts.
- Click Add prompts. Hovering the button shows how many prompts are still available on your plan, for example “12 still available on your plan.”
- In Prompts (one per line), type one prompt per line. Blank lines and prompts you already track are skipped. The counter under the box shows how many prompts will be added.
- Click Add.
The confirmation reads, for example, “5 prompts added.” or “5 prompts added, 2 skipped because you already track them.” The new prompts start with status Active and get your project market as their region, so they are answered for that market.
Limits per dialog: at most 100 prompts at a time, and each prompt must be 500 characters or fewer. When the list is empty, it reads “Use Add prompts to start tracking what people ask AI models.”
Generate prompt suggestions
Section titled “Generate prompt suggestions”- Open Prompts → Prompts.
- Click Smart generate. If your project has no personas yet, the button reads Auto-generate.
- Fill in the dialog:
- Additional instructions — optional, up to 255 characters.
- Persona — one persona, or All personas.
- Count — how many prompts to generate, 1 to 10.
- Click Generate.
Generation runs in the background: “Prompts are being generated in the background and will appear in the list shortly.” The new prompts appear in the list with status Suggested.
The suggestions take your project into account, including the website of your own brand when one is on record.
If the Count you chose is more than the prompts still available on your plan, nothing is generated and the app shows “You’ve reached your Prompts limit”, followed by the limit and “Upgrade your plan to add more.” Lower Count or see Plans.
Smart generate is not shown to the Contributor role. See Team members.
Approve or deny a suggestion
Section titled “Approve or deny a suggestion”On a suggested prompt, click Approve to start tracking it, or Deny to discard it.
Edit, archive, and delete
Section titled “Edit, archive, and delete”- Edit text — in the row action menu, choose Edit, change the text, and press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. Clicking the row itself opens the prompt.
- Archive — in the row action menu, choose Archive. Archived prompts are no longer asked. Use Activate to bring one back.
- Delete — choose Delete in the row action menu and confirm. This cannot be undone.
- Delete several — tick the checkboxes, then click Delete in the selection bar and confirm. Delete is not shown in the selection bar to the Contributor role.
- Tag several — tick the checkboxes, then use Assign tag or Remove tag in the selection bar. See Tags.
Filter the list
Section titled “Filter the list”The filter bar has a Search prompts box and dropdowns for Status, Region, Tags, and Personas. Until you touch a filter, the list shows Active prompts only.
- If your project is at its plan cap, the Add prompts button is disabled and its tooltip reads “You’ve reached your Prompts limit”, followed by the limit and “Upgrade your plan to add more.”
- If you type more prompts than are still available, the dialog shows, for example, “Only 3 left on your plan — remove a line or upgrade.” and Add stays disabled. If the list reaches the app anyway, the whole list is refused with, for example, “Only 3 of your Prompts allowance is left and you tried to add 8. Upgrade your plan to add more.” Nothing is added.
See Plans for the limits per plan.
